My cultural competence reflection paper for PTA - Professional Issues 1, defines and provides the benefits of practicing sound cultural competence in healthcare. I have been lucky to spend many years in the health and wellness world. I was able to use my personal experiences as examples to provide cultural consideration for patient differences, values, preferences, and needs adding to the dignity of patients as individuals.
